TIPS NYATE ENAK

November 28th, 2006 by taw-square

  1. Kita dicipta utk punya fellowship sama Tuhan. Wahyu 3:20  "Here I
am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens
the door, I will come in and eat (fellowship)
with him, and he with me."
  2. Yesus rela mati itu utk memulihkan hubungan kita dgn Allah Bapa. 1 Korintus 1:9 "God, who has called you into fellowship (friendship) with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful."
  3. Sumber kekuatan Yesus = SATE. Lukas 5:16 "…Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed"
  4. SEMUA tokoh Alkitab yg dipake Allah luar biasa pada doyan sate. Ct: Abraham, Musa, Daniel, Paul, dll
Matius 4:4 "…man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Ayub 23:12 "…I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread." Mazmur 119:9 "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word…"

Apa Akibatnya kalo gak rutin SATE?

  1. Gak ada fellowship sama Tuhan
  2. Gak ada komunikasi sama Tuhan
  3. Gak bisa terima kuasa & otoritas
  4. Pelayanan gak efektif !
  5. Gak bertumbuh (stagnan) !

OK, aku mau mulai SATE. Gimana Caranya?

  1. Tetapkan waktu.
  2. Pilih tempat yg peaceful. Lukas 22:39-40    Markus 1:35
  3. Siapkan peralatan: Alkitab, Buku tulis, Buku puji-pujian + Alat musik (Kaset,CD)
Yohanes 7:17]

  5. Ikuti langkah berikut : [Relax. Mulai dengan ucapan syukur, nyanyikan lagu2x pujian. Klo ga ada alat musik, CD/kaset slalu ngebantu] - [Reading. Mulai baca Alkitab. Buku renungan harian dipake cuma buat nuntun aja. Cari bible reading plan yg cocok, buka www.biblegateway.com ] - [Reflect.

Ngantuk, banyak ULANGAN, sakit, Alkitab ngilang. Banyak Banget Gangguan!! GIMANA NIICH ??

  1. Buat janji di hadapan Tuhan, Dia pasti bantu kita!
  2. Kalo sate pagi: tidur jangan kemaleman!
  3. Kalo sate malem: jauhin semua TV, HP, Internet, PR, tugas, dll. Prioritas lah…
  4. Baca Alkitab nya keras-keras.
  5. PENTING! Jangan mau dibohongin sama iblis lewat perasaan2x kita sendiri. Biasanya ini terjadi:  [Saat kita melakukan dosa] - [Saat kita gagal jadi berkat buat orang lain] - [Saat fisik kita lagi lemah] - [Saat kita sate terburu-buru] - [Saat sate cuman jd rutinitas yg membosankan. Kreatif dikit donk... Coba cari tempat baru, waktu baru. Hey, enjoy God's presence!]

Semua tips ud diikutin, tapi belum seminggu nyoba udah GAGAL LAGIGIMANA NIICH !!

  1. Tinggalkan perasaan bersalah.                                                                          Iblis sering banget bikin kita merasa bersalah & nggak layak untuk bertemu
Allah. Ingat! Sekotor apapun kita, Tuhan tetap merindukan kita! Roma 5:8. Bangkit dengan kekuatan & resolusi yang baru!
  2. Jangan sampe sate jadi kewajiban agamawi.
  3. Jangan menyerah!                                                                                           Pernah gak sibuk kerja / maen sampe lupa makan? Apakah lalu kita gak pernah makan lagi karena sekali lupa makan? Ngga kan? Ciayo!

Galatia 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Guys, sebentar lagi 2007 ud dateng… Masih ada sebulan lagi nich, kalo kita mau nutup 2006 dgn sesuatu yang bikin Tuhan happy!

Jangan sampe kelewatan, Tuhan mau kasih berkat yg baru buat kita! (Matius 9:17)

Enjoy His presence in your SATE! Ciayo!

GOOD VS BEST

November 1st, 2006 by taw-square

50 Tahun yang Lalu….
Budi:   "Mama, Budi kalo udah gedhe mau jadi tukang becak ya…"
Mama: "Huss…! Masak anak Mami narik becak! Budi jadi dokter aja yah, enak lho."
Budi:    "Nggak mau…"
Budi:    "Pokoknya gak mau… Mo jadi tukang becak aja!"
Mama:  "Iiiih…. Bandel banget seh! Pokoknya Mama bilang kamu jadi dokter! "
Budi:   "Weeek… Pokonya tukang becak… Weeeek…."

50 Tahun Kemudian
Bukan tukang becak, juga bukan dokter, it’s even more than his Mom’s expectation.

Hohoho, udah nonton film "Click" blom? Kocak abees, rite. Enak juga jd Adam Sandler gt, bs maenan remot. wekekek. Btw, loe pade tau ga sih, ni film bisa jd pljran bt kita trnyata. Coba perhatiin akhir film nya deh. Si tokoh utama bener2 nyesel sama hidupnya yg ngawur gila. Selama hidupnya dia hidup bedugalan, dan saat dia mau masuk kubur, baru dia sadar… Dia mo coba muter hidupnya balik, start all over again, tapi ga bisa…

Guys, cheer up, we are still young. We have plenty of time to move on!

Kmrn Pastor gw di IFGF GISI Seattle kotbah bagus bgt, trus gw rangkum ni di blog. Intinya sebenrnya sederhana sih: Kalo kita mo hidup kita berhasil, bahagia, sukses, makmur, ama, damai, sejahtera (loe sebutin satu2 lah, kayaknya emang buanyak banget hal yg kita mau…), en bahkan lebih dari yg even kita belom pernah bayangin, jalannya cuman satu, just surrender all. Jangan nunggu pas kita baru mau mampus, trus baru nyesel gara2 hidup kita messed up. Think about it, dude…

“ MORE THAN WHAT YOU EXPECT “
October 22nd 2006
Pastor Chris Tan
Summarized by William Sutanto

A member of IFGF GISI Seattle, Mario (27) is a great servant of God and has just gotten first daughter a month ago. People may say that he is leading a smooth life and still has a plenty of time to enjoy life. Suddenly everyone was shocked, including Mario himself, when this guy was diagnosed with having a colon cancer. The doctor told him that the operation would be tough. There was no guarantee that he could exit the surgery room alive.

What was the first thing that he thought of when he was on the surgery room?
Did he think about his job, his study, his wife, or his lovely daughter?
No! The first thing that he thought of, as did other people when they were on the verge of death, was his relationship with God.
Nothing else matters when we’re going to lose everything that we’ve achieved in this world other than our relationship with Him alone.

People will certainly die sooner or later. Straying far from the path that He has sketched for each of us is certainly not worth our time.

What do men say I (God) am?
Throughout the history of Israel, we can see some names that God was labeled as.
These nick-names were given by those who had experienced God in their life themselves.

1. Jehovah Rohi – God is my shepherd.
Psalm 23  (Baca Alkitab Inggris nya deh, bagus bgt kata2 ny).
This part of Psalm was written by King David himself.
David was the youngest of his brothers and was rejected by his own father.
His life was always unsecured. He was chased by King Saul and was betrayed by his own son. He couldn’t even sleep in peace. But then he was comforted by one truth – that God is his shepherd.

Shepherd symbolizes: care, provision, guidance, protection.
Sheep is: defenseless, dependent, dumb, dirty, crowd

Isaiah 53:6
“All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the inequity of us all. “

John 10:14, 27
“I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.”
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

What matter the most is whether we CONSULT our life to our Shepherd or not. “Don’t consult stars. Consult The Maker of stars.” (Nah tu, kita ga boleh prcaya yah, ma feng shui, guamya, n dukun beranak pinak lainnya)

David said, “He makes me lie down in green pastures.”
Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

We can always count on God.
When Mario (yang sakit kanker tadi) was passing through the operation room corridor, trembled and despondent ("tak berdaya" tapi lebih parah, hopeless gitu), he decided to read Psalm 23.
He was really strengthened by the part that declares: “though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.”
God is always faithful. (percaya aja de…, ud banyak ni buktinya…)
Mario’s surgery went smoothly and the doctor let him home.
He is now receiving the chemotherapy and his health is improving.
He gave testimony in church last week.

2. Jehovah Shalom – God of Peace (Wholesomeness).
Judges 6:23, 24
Gideon was a coward.
His nation was being oppressed by Midianites and all of Israel people were living in threat. At one time, Gideon threshed wheat (angin2in gandum biar copot kulit nya) in the winepress (tempat yg tertutup gt). This was odd because normally people would do that on an open area so that the wind would blow the husk. Gideon did this because he didn’t want the Midianites to spot him (Gideon ngumpet lah intinya). But even so, God through His angel named him “the mighty man of valor”. Isn’t that ironic?
If we continue to read the rest of this chapter, we will understand the reason of it.
God do not want us to be fearful of anything.
Every minute of fearing = one minute of losing God’s blessing.
When you are in the middle of a crisis, never ask God, “WHY?”
Through Job’s life we can learn that God won’t give you the answer for that question.
Instead, ask God, “WHAT?”
Ask Him what you should do to conquer your crisis and have the victory over it.
Don’t you know how big our God is?

3. Jehovah Nissi – God is Our Banner of Victory.
Rome 8:37
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me.”

(Setelah dipikir2, dua ayat ini bener2 “sakti mandraguna”. Coba renungin deh.)

Pastor Chris Tan gave a testimony about his own life. He attended a college in Fresno, San Fransisco when he was young, majoring in accounting. He was an academically smart guy (lha wong pas lulus aja GPA ny 3.9 bo..) and he faithfully served God in the ministry. His church duty, however, kept him from focusing on his studies. In other words, he could’ve spent more hours studying if not for the church. His final grade made him really disappointed with God. His GPA was not a sufficient enough to be recruited by Bank of America. Although he followed God’s path, he didn’t get his dream to be a successful banker. Why? He said that God was being unfair to him.
Is that true?
The answer would be:
“Men’s disappointment is God’s divine appointment.”
Satan may deceive you whenever he wants. That’s the nature of Satan.
Maybe we do have logical expectation in our life. That’s good.
But still, the thing we only know is: what is GOOD for us.
Hey, your God DO NOT wants you to have all of those GOOD things.
It’s better dude, He wants us to receive THE BEST !

If Pastor Chris Tan had indeed became a banker in Fresno, maybe now he had been the chief executive there. But then those people who had received Jesus as their personal Savior because of his ministry years ago would have still lost until now. Then he would also meet other girl and did not marry the one (istrinya), who has been a wife of blessing for him until now. In fact, he has been in the lap of luxury ever since (dia gak pernah hidup berkekurangan karena hidup melayani Tuhan).

From his young age, Pastor Tan has put God before anything else.
And from that young age, he has lived in abundance.
He emphasized, “GPA would not determine your future, but God will.”

So now you know, God awaits you every time, wondering if you really want Him to pour His favor unto you, unto your family, abundantly.
And the question remains the same: Do you still want to live according to your own way? Please, don’t…

DUA BULAN DI SEATTLE

October 29th, 2006 by taw-square

Guys, bule2 tu emang rada2 aneh bin ajaib yah. Sometimes mereka kliatan keren, tinggi gedhe, or pinter2. Kita pikir mereka selalu superior dibanding’in kita. But you know what, God makes everyone so special. Even we’re smaller, we eat uncivilized food (jeroan, erwe, torpedo), and we do look so inferior dibanding mereka, slalu inget that Tuhan gak ngurangin berkatnya buat kita.

Sometimes gw bisa ngakak sndiri kalo gliat ulahnya para bule (pokonya American lah). Mereka kadang nganggep diri mereka pinter, tapi kok ya rada dong2 juga yah… Hey, gw bukan pengen bikin blog ttg keburukan American people! I’m only making a comparison based on facts. And these facts are sometimes bener2 bikin gedek2 orang Indo kayak gw.

Just read this blog, think about it, give me some feedback (kasih comment dikit lah…), and take the best of it.

Guys, These two months have been a glorious two months of my life.

I’m so thakful that God’ve given me things just exactly in the right time and order. I thank God for everthing: my lovely parents and family (love you, guys!), clothes, house, food, and even for the air (Well, air is nothing until you’ve experienced "hidung buntu karena asma", isn’t it). God want you to know that everything is good in His time.

So, for about these 2 months I’ve made a research, analyzing the life of American people in general. My sample is quite fair, my own house parent. I have been also hung around with friends and made more research for this post. Seattle is also a good city to do this research. It is a beautiful city where statistically has been settled by the biggest number of middle-class people among the other cities in the US. If you’re looking for a city with a strong taste of American culture, Seattle is the one. I think 2 months is pretty enough to compare American life with Indonesian.

ATTENTION!! Americans are not allowed to read this post below. (STRONG WORDS AND CONTENT ARE SUBJECT TO NO ONE, wekekek…)

There are a lot of things differentiate Indonesia and America, some are so absurd and others seem quite reclusive. Those differences sometimes occur in a very distinct way, covering a broad area of way of living.

These examples are basically too broad and kadang ga penting2 amat. Some mention American good values and way of thinking, some are just my own dumbness or my unawareness, and some other are really American’s dumbness.

This is America:

(mustinya mo gw jelasin atu2, tp blon sempet. Ntar nyusul aje)

1. Pelajaran Geografi : does not exist

Parah man… They think Iraq is in Africa. trus mrk blg: "Is Indonesia somewhere in Bali?" Yeah, rite..

2. American Food = Frozen Food

They’re more aware about the callories in their food than the artificial / chemical ingredients in it. Yg gila lagi ada temen gw yg house parent ny ga percaya ma tanggal kadaluarsa. Sup kaleng telat 4 bulan, tanceb abis…

3. They hate all things from France.

Gak cuma barang2 Prancis. Mereka jg rada sentimen ma orang Prancis.. Ni kayaknya masih misteri bt gw. But this really happen! Di sini loe ga bakal nemu’in mobil Peugeot, well at least di daerah gw. Trus tiap kali ktemu org Prancis pasti mreka rada antipati. Knapa yah? Padahal patung Liberty yg ngasih org Prancis. Trus pas Amrik lawan Inggris yang bela Prancis… Ironic.

Maybe taon 70′an Amrik selaen krisis minyak juga krisis barbershop yah, makanya pas taon segitu gaya rambut gondrong smua

5. Jangan pernah sakit di US

Benar Benar Benar Benar Benar Mahaaaaaaal…….. that’s why justru orang Amrik kalo mo operasi pergi nya ke Malaysia ato Thailand.

7. Beli kolor trus gak demen? Balikin aje

There is one term that is very "sakti" in Amerika when we’re dealing with beli2 barang. It is: refund. Di sini kalo loe beli kaos jangan dibuang struk nya. Jadi kalo dalam 3 minggu (mostly) tu kaos ud dipake2 trus bosen, ya udah. Uang kembali 100 %

8. Always right-minded

Kalo dulu kita belok "kiri jalan terus". Di sini kebalik. Kalo belok kanan langsung ngepot aj.

Kmrn pas gw disetirin temen jalan2, gw smpet shock, kirain mo nabrak tronton, gara2 ny di sini kan traffic view ny beda. Setir di Indo kanan, di sini kiri. Kalo nyabrang jalan musti liat kiri dulu baru kanan. Uhm, kayaknya lagu "Naik2 ke Puncak Gunung" itu dibuat Ibu Sud pas dia ke Amrik deh: "…. kiri kanan, kulihat saja, banyak pohon cemara…."

9. Mau pesen tusuk gigi? Go to e-bay

Orang sini bener2 make yg namanya internet dari pagi bangun tidur sampe malem tidur. Asik juga sih. Palagi tau ndiri di sini internet ny ga kayak negara kita tercinta. Di sini 11mbps, wuih, cepet tenan rek…

10. Tisu Amrik terbuat dari kayu?

Di Washington State ada praturan bt bener2 jaga kelestarian pohon. Sama sekali ga boleh tebang pohon d sini kalo ga pnting2 amat. Nah yg gw bingung, apa mereka ga tau kalo tisu itu terbuat dr kayu? Dikit2 pake tisu. Bukan cuman buat ritual bok*r, tapi juga cuci tangan itu mreka gw liat ngabisin buanyak tisu. Sami mawon…

11. Harga menipu = Tips + Tax

Yeah, emang konsekuensi sih. Uhm, di sini tax ny 8 % trus tips nya 15 % dari taxed-price. Coba Indo mau memberlakukan ky gitu. Mungkin ga se…

12. Forget about diet here

Ga heran lah orang sini gedhe2. Nasi nya kita tuh daging nya mreka analoginya. Sayur?

13. No manual-transmission car here

Yeah, mobil sini coepoe2. Tapi it’s ok lah kalo mereka emang maunya gitu. Tapi buanyak bgt dr mreka yg sama skali ga bisa naek mobil manual. Parah…

14. No pu tau ce cu right now

hehehe, di amrik umur 21 kyny jadi umur yg sakral. Musti umur sgitu baru boleh bli alcohol. Jadi kalo loe yg blom 21 taon bosen ma aer keran Amrik, minta aje beliin pu tau ce cu ma tmen loe yg udah As simple as that. hohoho. ( legalize pu tau ce cu !!_

15. in progress

SATU BULAN DI SEATTLE

October 10th, 2006 by taw-square

Hi, guys!!

Ini prtama kali gw nulis blog d FS.

(wakakakak, sori ye bahasa gw aneh nye minta ampun. Gw bikin blog ny cepet2 ini… Sebenerny byk bgt hal yg mo gw sampein, tapi apa daya tangan tak sampai. Gw blom bikin PR buat besok… Next blog will be bermutu!)
